[Gvsig_english] measure distance tool

Hello list,

I have a problem with the measure distance tool in gvSIG 1.1.1/1.1.2. Measuring the extents of a geometry (rectangle, width/height: 1000 metres) shows only a width of 870 metres and a height of 900 m in the status bar. 

The measure area tool works correctly and shows 1000000 square metres. The shown coordinates of the edges (upper left to upper right etc.) have a correct difference of 1000 metres, too.


Any suggestions?
