Hello. I guess you are using gvSIG 1.1, no? Look at this message to see how to solve that little problem:

http://runas.cap.gva.es/pipermail/gvsig_internacional/2007-December/001131.html <http://runas.cap.gva.es/pipermail/gvsig_internacional/2007-December/001131.html>

Oracle Spatial layers can be edited just like any other vector layer (see page 233 of the manual)

Dear Juan,

Thank you for the prompt help.
I followd the instructions listed in the manual to export layer to spatial database. I downloaded the JDBC driver and placed it in the mentioned path, after that i could see Oracle Spatial in the list. but when try to export to Oracle Spatial, nothing happens in the gvSIG and the table is not created in the database, any ideas.

I tried to use geodb extenstion to load an existing table from oracle spatial, the table is loaded and viewd in the gvSIG system, but can gvGIS edit the layer ( change attribute values, delete and and new objects)

Thanks in advance.
Ali

Hello, Ali. The instructions to do that are in page 158 of this manual:

	http://www.gvsig.gva.es/fileadmin/conselleria/images/Documentacion/descargas/manuales/gvSIG-1_1-man-v1-en.pdf

The link you will find to the Oracle website is wrong. This is the right link:

	http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/index.html

In that page, you have to choose one of the links in the 'JDBC Driver Downloads' section. I think the first one works in every Oracle Spatial DB.
