suggested I Uninstalled and reinstalled the gvsig1.1.1. Then upgraded to 1.1.2.
But still when I try to open a new view the same error
"java.lang.NullPointerException" pops up. I am attaching the error details. How
to get out of this..?

Jagadeesh

>Carlos
Writes:
>
>Hello Jagadeesh:
>
>our previous mail hadn't
enough information about what's the problem,
>the log file. Probably
something was wrong on the update process to the
>1.1.2, or the previous
gvSIG was inconsistent. Do you have the gvSIG 1.1
>before the update, if
it was your case you had have to do 2 updates, one
>to gvSIG 1.1.1 and
then update to the gvSIG 1.1.2. The log don't tell us
>anything about the
error. Maybe you must uninstall your gvsig and
>install it again,
sometimes it's the best solution. Be sure that after
>the uninstall
process the gvSIG folder it's removed.
>Then download from http://www.gvsig.gva.es/index.php?id=1731&L=2
><<A

gvsig 1.1.1 complete
>version (all included) for your operating
system.
>Finally you can install the gvSIG 1.1.2 update downloaded
from the same
>site.
>Don't install any extension before install the
1.1.2 update.
>After the update installation you can install the
extensions.
>
>Tell us if it works to you.
>
>Hope be
