I've solved de read/write problem with the PostGIS! It was very simple
to solve! I've add a Path for the ...PostgreSQL\8.4\Bin folder in the
OS (XP Pro) and everything it's ok now.
The problem with the Quantum GIS. Now, the Quantum GIS can read the
geodatabases created in the PostGIS 1.4 by the gvSIG 1.9 RC1. However,
the gvSIG can't read the geodatabases created in the PostGIS 1.4 by the
Quantum GIS 1.1. I'm going to see if it's a DLL problem in this application.

I've reinstall the 1.9 Alpha, and now, I have de same problem on this
version.
This appens after I install the new versions of PostgreSQL (8.4) and
PostGIS (1.4). It seams that the gvSIG 1.9 Alpha and RC1 don't
recognise the new versions of that applications.
I don't have problems read/write to the PostGIS with the Quantum GIS
and Manifold System GIS. Only the gvSIG can't read or write the
databases on the new version of the PostGIS.

The version of the RC1 that I'm using as to many bugs that I have
uninstall it. Now, I have two solution:
Go back to the Alfa version where the things I need works
or
Install the RC1 1243 to see if the my problems with the PostGIS desapeared.

(wich is 1243 and not RC1) and in this one the error with the uninstall
bottom has already been solved.
We didn't notice the "open geodatabase problem" either on this build but
if you continue having it please give us a word.

I've installed the gvSIG 1.9RC1 and I found this problems:
1. If I click in the botton "Uninstall gvSIG", it doesn't unistall the
program. It activates de command "Open the gvSIG".
2. I've tried to open a geodatabase/layer archieved in the PostGIS by
the Quantum GIS 1.1, and the gvSIG doesn't recognise the "the_geom" column.
3. I've tried to export to the PostGIS a geodatabase/layer using the
gvSIG 1.9RC1 and I've obteined this error message: "can't inicialize
writer: PostGIS writer"
I'm using a computer with:
XP Professional
PostgreSQL 8.4
PostGIS 1.4
