Yes, that message is wrong, sorry. It should say something like 'select the geometry type that corresponds to the type of the layer'.<br>

If your layer is of type POINT, click on the button with a point in the editing tool bar, and it will remain as selected (yellow), then it should work (see attached image)<br>

While trying to use "Add vertex using GPS" function, I receive the error message "GPS must be connected". But the GPS is connected, receiving satellite signal and giving me an acurate location.<br>

With this problem I'm not able to collect points directly, needing to add the point manually.<br>

What might I be doing wrong?<br>

I'm using a trimble Juno SB<br>
