I'm not sure what your problem could be, but if you give us some more
information, it will be really useful for getting the developers help.<br>
Could you say us if from your limited available menu, you can access to
the following options?<br>
<br>
Show->Project Manager<br>
Show->Console<br>
Window->Preferences<br>
<br>
With this options you must see the appropriate windows (Project
selecting and creating, information console or gvSIG preferences).<br>
<br>
This options are the normal tools that you may see when gvSIG starts
(the Project manager window, and the tools icons), and as I see in your
screen shot you haven't access to them by the icons in the toolbar. But
may be, you could access by the menu as I said you before. This is an
important difference for understand what could be the problem.<br>

I also send you a screen shot of the normal view when the program
starts. <br>
