Hello again.<br>
<br>
Nobody else got that problem? (like shown with screenshots in last
mail) <br>
<br>
I can't believe that it is a problem only of my system / java
environment.<br>

Thank you for the fast reply.<br>
<br>
Concerning the TOC and mainly the Layer symbology page: <b>Directly</b>
after selecting the color, you see this color in the symbology
page? (without closing and reopening...?) <br>
<br>
I've added a few screenshots, so you can better see what I mean.
I've tested with XP version 0.3 on Windows PC with JRE 1.6
installed. Perhaps that's the problem? Thought it should be
backward compatible? But I don't know how to change the JRE for
executable programs. Just tested with the last source code (and
JDK 1.4/JRE 1.5 selected) and have got the same problem there.<br>
<br>
Any further suggestions?<br>
<br>
<br>
By the way, the language cannot be set in this XP version. That's
why the screenshots still have Spanish text ;) but that's not
important, just want to let you know...<br>

check. The TOC is immediately updated in gvSIG Mobile 0.3.
Are you using a previous version (0.2?) The "Help - About
gvSIG Mobile" menu will tell you which version and build
number you are using.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>- Point and line styles: correct, only width (or radius)
can be changed. gvSIG Mobile 1.0 will have more styles. If
you have set up the workspace with the source code, maybe
you can improve the styling yourself. I think it's
especially easy in the case of point styles.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>- Export extension: it has not been ported to newer
versions of gvSIG due to the lack of time and because it
does not add a lot of functionalities. You can simply copy
your data files (SHP, ECW, etc) to the device and add them
as new layers from gvSIG Mobile.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>- Edition: yes, you need to have an existing layer in
order to edit it. gvSIG Mobile so far does not create vector
layers from scratch.</div>

Well, I wanted to wait for others, ...anybody on the list who
can answer the other questions? <br>
Anybody who can confirm, that the layer properties are not
updated? <br>
Or what about the export? I've read that it has been
supported, but it isn't anymore in the last stable. Why? Will
it be possible in 1.10 final? <br>
<br>
I've got another question in addition: Do I need to have an
existing layer to use the editing functions? Or can I create
an empty one?<br>

<b>Asunto:</b> [Gvsig_english] gvsig mobile layer
management & gvsig desktop export<br>
</font><br>
</div>
<div>Good evening list,<br>
<br>
as some of you might know already, I am testing with gvsig
mobile and planning to add some functions for special gps
receivers. <br>
<br>
Well, and again, I've a few little questions/bug reports,
mainly to the developers, but perhaps others are
interested, too:<br>
<br>
<br>
<u>Questions to gvSIG Mobile (Layer Management):</u><br>
<br>
- The <b>color of a layer</b> is not updated in the TOC
and the properties page of a layer after changing it.
However, it will be updated on map and after re-opening
the TOC, it is updated there, too.<br>
<br>
- Is it correct, that <b>different point or line types</b>
are not included, yet? I cannot change the point symbol
(which is a square)<br>
<br>
- What can I do with <b>range of values</b>? I cannot
select anything there. Is it for thematic maps and not
fully included, yet?<br>
<br>
<br>
<u>Questions to gvSIG Desktop 1.9:</u><br>
<br>
- I've created a project "Karlsruhe.gvp" in gvSIG Desktop
1.9, but <b>cannot choose min/max scale for layer</b><br>
either layer is displayed or not displayed, doesn't matter
what number I have entered, anybody got same problems?<br>
...if a value for max scale is entered - layer won't be
displayed<br>
...if a value for min scale is entered - layer will be
displayed<br>
...if both got values entered -> layer won't be
displayed<br>
(INFO: in contrast, in gvsig mobile, min/max scale
settings seem to work)<br>
<br>
- I've read about exporting a gvp-project to gvm? Is it
possible with gvsig 1.9? Or will it be possible? That was
the reason for creating a project there, but without
export-function, it will be useless.<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Best regards,<br>
<br>
Marcel S.<br>
