Hi Patrick,

You need to change your preferences.

Open preferences dialog and select 'editing' and/or 'symbology' and/or
'view' nodes.

Adjust the opacity to suit your preferences. Restart gvSIG to see the
results. If you don't nothing will happen.

I have reduced opacity for selection color, reference axis color, selection
handle color on the editing tab; default color on the symbology tab, and;
default selection color and opacity on the view nodes.

Hi folks,

I have run into a snag, this time in relation to database development.

To digitize a farm and all its camps it is useful to digitize the outer

boundary as a polygon and then split it into its component camps. This

ensures that overlapping 'doesn't occur' when you are working with shape

files.

However, when you digitize polygons they are given a solid fill so that you

cannot see boundaries underneath. Does anyone know how to change the fill

pattern while digitizing? The 'normal' method (through the layer properties)

does not seem to have an effect.

Thanks
