I actually figured it out. I was downloading all the files including the XML files. After I excluded those, the geographic data became visible.<br>

However, I still haven't found the advance tab that was referenced in the video.<br>

what file format are you loading at the view? What gvSIG version are you <br>
using?<br>
<br>
You can do the same now, and after loading the file at the view you can <br>
close gvSIG. There's a file that contains the information about the <br>
errors, so we can see if there's any problem. It's called gvSIG.log, and <br>
it's in the "gvSIG" folder that is in your user folder (it's usually <br>
C:\users, or C:\Documents and settings). Could you attach it?<br>
