I haven't understood very well. Are you referring to the table or to the<br>

At the table you can use Shift button to select a group, but not<br>
different groups of features.<br>

With Ctrl button you can select and unselect features individually (and<br>
also at the View).<br>

If I have understood it, I think you can use the "Add to set" option at<br>
the "Select by attribute" tool to add more features to a group selected<br>
firstly.<br>
