what issues are they having? We would need more information about

In some specific computers in Windows 10 - 64 bits with a concrete
configuration there has been a problem when installing, that we
haven't been able to reproduce it (only a few users have reported
it). The solution is to download the portable version as Sergio told
you. <br>
<br>
The portable version has to be unzipped in a path without spaces,
and it doesn't have to be directly in C:\. For example, you can
create a "gvSIG-desktop" folder and move the
"gvSIG-desktop-2.3.1....." folder of the portable version to that
folder. <br>
<br>
Let us know if it works and which were the problems. <br>

you won't be able to follow the course in ArcGIS because it's very
different.
The application used for the course is gvSIG, that you can download from
the gvSIG website as it's indicated at the module 3.
In gvSIG you can do almost everything that you do in ArcGIS, but the
main advantage is that it's free and you don't have to pay for it. You
can install it in as many computers as you want.
There's also a free application for mobile devices (gvSIG Mobile) that
will be shown at the last modules.
