Hace poco conocí que a través de Google se ofrecen imágenes de GeoEye para ayudar la atención del desastre en Haití, tomada a partir del 13 de Enero. A pesar de todo lo que se pueda decir de Google, puede ser una gran contribución para esta labor humana.<br>

generously agreed to provide satellite imagery for use by relief
organizations responding to the earthquake in Haiti. Google is hosting
these files for download through the links below. The images were
captured by the GeoEye-One satelite on Wednesday January 13, 2010, at
15:27Z (10:27 AM local time in Haiti). </i></p><p><i>These are <strong>very large files</strong>, intended for
use by mapping professionals with GIS software. If you simply want to
look at these images, please use the Google Earth files available
though this <a href="http://google-latlong.blogspot.com/2010/01/haiti-imagery-layer-now-available.html">blog post</a>.
