Note taken. In any case, there are still some things to work out -  
like, why a map is so slowly shown in View but is much faster in Map;  
or which effect can have the rendering engine used (Apple's or Sun's).

That will be really useful, thanks. In fact I'll be soon asking the  
team about ways to single out some functionalities; I guess you  
already have some test or demo code that would fit the bill, like  
this case.

I'm currently profiling in both Windows and OS X to look for
