[Gvsig_english] comparison between OSX & Windows

Hi,

I have just temporarily stolen my gilfriend's laptop to make some  
tests ; I have a simple polygon layer (including 6744 features). On  
my G4 at 1.67Ghz 512Mb Powerbook, it takes like a minute to load and 40  
seconds to display (i.e. iconizing the window and getting it back  
full screen); on the PC (PentiumM at 1.4Ghz 512Mb) it takes 2 seconds to  
load AND display then refresh the display is not long enough to measure.
Other comparison basis, on OpenJUMP, it takes about 2 seconds on both  
PC and Mac.

sugestion: It would be interesting for non-developper to add links to  
JAI and JImageI/O directly in the downloads section rather than in  
installation section; I suppose they cannot be bundled into gvSIG ?
