[Gvsig_english] gvSIG on usb-stick: could not start theprogram!

Hi Wolfgang,

Sorry, when I configured the usb, I used Ubuntu 7.04 (feisty).

BUT, as you say, I've been able to reproduce the error you report on Gutsy and I've found the source of the error.

In "/gvSIG_1.1final/linuxlibs" the folder with the specific native libraries gvSIG needs, you have to copy "libjasper-700.so.1" to "libjasper-701.so.1".

There is a dynamic library loading error because GDAL was looking for libjasper-701 so, with the new file it works (at least on the test machine I've used).

Hope it works

Regards

Hello Jorge,
I am using KUbuntu 7.10 (gutsy gibbon), 32bit version. I already copied the gvsig-files in my $-directory, but the error message is the same.

Best regards,
Wolfgang
