you're right. The prototype we presented at the FOSS4G 2007 was running only on Windows Mobile 5.0 & 6.0.
 
Nevertheless, the plans are to support as many mobile platforms as possible. The number of platforms is dependent on the number of Java Virtual Machines available indeed.
 
We are following the evolution of phoneMe project [1], which is a GPL project leaded by Sun to deliver a JVM for J2ME platforms. We are interested in phone Me Advanced in a first stage. You can see there the number of platforms targeted (ARM, MIPS, and x86-based Linux devices

Hi all,

I just look at the foss4G 2007 presentation about the mobile version 
of gv_sig.

I hope the development won't be only for window mobile... since no 
mention about that.

Linux base pda and specialy the ipod (iphone or itouch) should also 
be in the target on the development process.
