[Gvsig_english] problems with spatial selection

Hello everyone.
I'm using gvSIG 1.1. I need to make a spatial selection of a layer of points
falling inside a certain polygon layer. I've used the "Selection by layer",
having previously selected the point layer and made it active. The I've
choosed "are contained in" (translating from italian) and I've selected the
polygon layer... and nothing seems to happen neither with "Add set" nor all
the other options.
Am I using a wrong procedure?
