[Gvsig_english] errors when running gvSIG on Linux

Oh, it is, you just need to search a bit in the Sun's site.
Anyway, we are wishing to switch to a newer Java version, but we need to
make more testing before that happens.

Yes, that is the preferred method.

Well, the launch script is not designed to allow moving the gvSIG
installation, but anyway the message you got is harmless.
You can easily edit that script if you want to get rid of that message.
