[Gvsig_english] possibility to calculate perimeter/area???

Hello Thomas,

It's possible to calculate area and perimeter of a polygon shape using 
the Field Calculator of gvSIG.

First of all, you have to Start Edition of your shape, then open its 
table and use the functions 'area' and 'perimeter' which are in the 
Field Calculator. Your result fields must be numeric type.

About the unities, it calculates the results in the unities of your 
View. If View is in meters, then area will be in m2, for example. If 
View is in km, area in km2. If you want your area in Ha you can divide 
your result in m2 by 10000, etc.
