[Gvsig_english] Working with WMS

Hello Sarah, WMS services are designed for viewing maps and querying 
attributes from a point in the map. This means that you don't really 
have features in your view nor the corresponding table of attributes. So 
they are not the more suitable source of geodata if your goal is to 
perform mass analysis. In the other hand, WMS is a simple versatile and 
fast service that allos quick viewing and publishing data, but you do 
not have the data it self but a snapshot of it. I mean just an image, so 
it is not possible to know where a feature ends and starts another 
because they are just pixels. At most you can query to the server whats 
under your mouse (which is the tree you mentioned earlier) but not the 
entire table of attributes.

Maybe the service you want is WFS which gives you the real vector data 
so it is loaded into gvSIG as a regular vector file with its table of 
attributes.
