[Gvsig_english] Getting ODBC database connectivity working in scripting

Hi Everyone
 
I am new to working with gvSIG. However I am familiar with Java and Python, and trying to understand Jython. Given there is ODBC support in gvSIG, what are the libraries / modules and methods I need to reference to make a database connection using Jython in gvSIG?
 
How do we install new Python or Java libraries / modules so they will work with Jython inside gvSIG?
 
I am using gvSIG on a Windows XP platform.
