[Gvsig_english] Geoprocessing tool: Clip (2)

Now, the problem is when i try to cut the same LINEAR layer from PostGIS
If i use the same POLYGONAL envelop (SHP file)
The error is:

"Output layer is empty "
(I'm translating from italian...)

Are there problems with PostGIS connection?
Similar problem is also in Quantum GIS.
