[Gvsig_english] GDAL - OGR

Hi everyone,

 

I'd like to know how GDAL got implemented in GvSIG. Did you use the
GDAL/OGR libraries for file format conversion?

 

I've been playing around with the GDAL/OGR tools and realized that they
were not UTF-8 compatible.

I installed GvSIG and loaded a Shape file... unfortunately, the extended
characters (accents..) were missing.. But on the website I was able to
see screen shots with Spanish accents!!!

Did you access the database directly for the examples?
