Sorry but

Is, then, gvSIG not installable on Ubuntu 8.04?

I have no problem with Java installation on Windows XP, but with
Ubuntu 8.04 in two PC I have the same problem with JRE. I unistalled
java7 and java6, but with no java I obtained the same error: "The JRE
could not be setup".
