[Gvsig_english] split line theme into pieces of the same length

Hi list,
I wonder whether it is possible to split a line theme into pieces of the same 
length using gvSIG (for example 200 m). Maybe someone has done this already?
Or could it be done with a script? There is a tool in sextante which creates a 
new point theme, but I did not find a tool to really split a line. Any 
comments are appreciated very much!
