gvSIG Mobile does not support the TIF format so far. For raster layers, you can open ECW, PNG, JPG and GIF files, and WMS services in these formats.
 
The SHP button does nothing? It does not open the file chooser dialog?
The GPS dialog button worked?
 
Try to load in the first place small shapefiles (for example the attached lazio_4326.zip). Perhaps your PDA does not accept the DLLs that come with gvSIG Mobile. Small shapefiles do not use any DLL.
 
In any case, please send us the following files:
 
\gvSIGMobile\gvsig_mobile_launch.log
\gvSIGMobile\log\*.txt
 
after an unsuccessful attempt.

First of all thank you very much for your work...
gvSIG mobile is a really interesting project...
then:
I have just installed gvSIG mobile on my asus palm running windows
mobile 5.
Installation was quite simple...
and the program starts really well...
I have connected by the COM5 port the GPS and gvSIG soon found
satellites!! goods...
It gave me correct position.. and I was really happy...

at this point I tried to load some shape or tif maps, but without
success  :-(
the shp, ecw, img, wms icons seems not work.. and the same happened for
the icons of application setup and project properties...  and for other
icons more...

is this a problem of my installation or is it still a limit of
gvSIGmobile?
is this a bug?
