[Gvsig_english] Layout and PDF export problems - gvsig 2.0 Build 1216

Hi all,

I sent the message at the bottom on October 30 regarding gvSIG 2.0 Build
1214. I installed Build 1216 this morning and the problem is still
there. Some more detail:

 - Custom page size does not work properly. If I make the page 8.5
inches tall by 11 inches wide, it makes it 11 inches tall by 8.5 wide

 - I don't think it is actually using inches (I am not sure what it is
using), as the page displayed looks smaller initially than it does when
I do the same thing in gvSIG 1.2, though this impression could be
because the grid now displays properly in inches rather than centimeters
as it did in 1.2. However, also supporting this, if I set a .5 inch
margin, it is much larger than .5 inches if the page size is correct (it
looks like it is maybe 2 inches or so). This could be a problem just
with custom margins, though.

 - PDF export does not work anymore. I get a "user error". This
essentially renders 2.0 impossible to use on my system, which really
stinks because I would like to use the symbology.

 - Unrelated: the new topology toolbar is oversized on my system...
approximately 30% larger than the other toolbars.

GREAT JOB on the symbology changes... I just hope these usability issues
get fixed prior to the release.

Thanks,

-Marcus

If I could add one more problem I am seeing in 2.0. When I set up the
workspace properties I use inches, typically a standard 8.5 x 11 sheet
of "letter" paper. This works fine in 1.x (other than the known bug that
the sheet size is not remembered between sessions). In 2.0, something
happens in the process of converting to inches and the sheet is not 8.5
x 11.... it is 3.x X 4.x (I don't have the program open right now so
can't remember the exact measurements). I am using the program on Ubuntu
8.4 using the java version provided with gvSIG.
