[Gvsig_english] gvSIG Mobile: any other JVM?

Hello, Lukas:

- In this message there is a link where you can still download J9:

http://runas.cap.gva.es/pipermail/gvsig_usuarios/2008-May/005083.html

- We did some tests with Mysaifu but we found that J9 was much more mature and reliable. Perhaps Mysaifu has improved lately and still can be considered an alternative. In my opinion, gvSIG Mobile's code should work also on Mysaifu, perhaps with some minor changes. If you make tests with Mysaifu, please let us know about the results. The most delicate functionalities are: opening ECW images, accessing WMS servers and storing GPS tracks.

- Future versions of gvSIG Mobile will be intended to work on Sun Microsystems' open-source JVM called phoneME. We are currently working on that.

did you ever try any other JVM or do you have an explicit reason to
use the IBM J9 WEME?
I have found the MySaiFu JVM (with GNU Classpath) some days ago and i
want to try this VM with gvSIG mobile, because, i can't download the
IBM WEME any more.

thank you in advance, lukas
