[Gvsig_english] Ubuntu 8.10 gvSIG Installation

Hello list.

I have one question about installing gvSIG on Ubuntu 8.10.

I installed  gvSIG 1.1.2 (update 1.1.2 after installing gvSIG 1.1). The 
installation process seems ok.
But opening a  view and trying to add a layer, the window keeps being 
blank.

So i am not really able to work. On the same pc (other partition) have 
Kubuntu 7.10 installed and therefore gvSIG works fine.

Anyone an idea what to do? I made various installation(always Ubuntu, 
8.10 and 9.04) and on some pc installation it works on others not.
The same problems appears using gvSIG on an live usb-stick.
