[Gvsig_english] Importing some ready color tables to gvSIG?

If you need some colour tables for gvSIG 1.1.2: see attached file.
Replace your current "palettes.xml" in your "gvSIG" settings folder
with this version. It will add a few colour tables for terrain.
Most of them use absolute value ranges, but "elevation" will always
stretch over the current data range and look good (the tables have
been converted from GRASS GIS). You will need the Raster Pilot
extension for gvSIG 1.1.2 to make these work.

Fot gvSIG 1.9, you should be able to to copy the tables you like from
the palettes.xml file into individual XML files and load them into
gvSIG.

Subject: [Gvsig_english] Importing some ready color tables to gvSIG?

hello community,

I'm wondering if there do existist some good ready color tables for creating beautiful relief maps. gvSIG has a couple of different color tables, but I think they are made to visualize the relief and not to create some common "landscape cards". landserf has some good color tables for doing that. do you know any color tables that one can import to gvSIG? unfortunately for different "mapmaking" tools (GMT, MicroDEM, Landserf) the color table format is always different. For a non experienced cartographer some good color tables for making beautiful landscape maps would really be very helpful. do you have any ideas?

thank you a lot, davk
