[Gvsig_english] gvSIG - question on spatial index

Dear list,
very short question: is the spatial index created in gvSIG identical 
with the one that can be created using the mapserver-tool "shptree"?
or the other way round: does UMN mapserver accept the spatial index of 
gvSIG?
