[Gvsig_english] gvSIG 1.1.2 Cannot rename fields

Hi all,

I cannot rename table fields, gvSIG will not accept my changes. What is
going wrong?
Here is what I did so far:

   - use shapefile linked to a table with attributes
   - build a legend on one of the linked fields (link_label3)
   - export this legend for further use
   - filter this shapefile and export results into a new shapefile
   - 1st annoyance: fieldnames in the new shp are abbreviated ("link_labelX"
   becomes "link_label")
   - 2nd annoyance: Whilst trying to rename these fields, changes are not
   accepted

Problem: I cannot apply my legend, which I saved before for doing exactly
this
Solution: OK, I could open the legend-file with an editor and change the
field name manually. Not sooo cool.

Do I miss something about field length or so?

These little problems keep me from doing things I should get done. :-(

Any Ideas/hints?
