Hi Simon and all,
this howto is outdated now, because Sextante nightly build
(sextante.zip) [1] is actually structured in the following manner:

sextante.zip
     | __ Core
     | __ Bindings
              | __ Openjump
              | __ Geotools25
              | __ Gvsig_1_9

"core" folder contains all the libraries and algorithms of Sextante,
while in "bindings" there are three different "interfaces" and, of
course, here we are concerned only that on gvSIG 1.9.
Therefore, the installation (temporary fix) consists of the
following steps (without the need to execute the official installer of
Sextante!):
1) create a folder "es.unex.sextante";
2) unzip the contents of the folders inside "sextante.zip/core" and
"sextante.zip/bindings/gvsig_1_9";
3) remove the file jts-1.9.jar (it's already present in gvSIG);
4) (optional) only if you use the JRE coming from the installer with
prerequisites (1.5.0_12), remove these files:
- sextante_flowTools-0.5.jar
- flowmap.jar
- j3dcore.jar
- prefuse.jar
- prefusex.jar
- vecmath-1.3.jar
5) finally, copy the folder "es.unex.sextante" previously obtained in
"gvSIG_1.9/bin/gvSIG/extensiones" folder.
6) execute gvSIG and ... have fun! ;)

Cheers,
Antonio
