Interestingly, Manhattan is missing.
Out of curiosity, would you say the NY State Plane coordinate system (in feet) is still widely used in that area? Are you using it yourself within gvSIG?

New York is about as far from Australia as one can get, but there is high resolution (1-foot pixels) aerial photography for New York State at http://www.nysgis.state.ny.us/gateway/mg/nysdop_download.cfm  Other data for New York State including cadestral data can be found at http://www.nysgis.state.ny.us/
