[Gvsig_english] gvsig mobile- unable to edit shapefile

Hello,
 
gvSIG Mobile cannot edit that shapefile because it's a 3D shapefile (each vertex has X, Y and Z). Sometimes gvSIG Mobile does not inform the user about what's going on, sorry.
 
If you can generate again that shapefile without the Z component (a standard 2D shapefile), it should work.
 
If you don't have a way to do that yourself, you can follow these steps:
 
- create a view in gvSIG Desktop and add your shapefile
 
- unzip the attached big_box.zip and add big_box.shp to the same view
 
- Go to "Geoprocessing tools > Analysis > Overlay > Intersect" and choose those two layers as input

- The output of that intersection will be exactly like your original shapefile (check that the attributes are there and have correct values), but the Z component of each vertex will be removed, so you should be able to edit it with gvSIG Mobile now.
 
 
If your intention was to edit a 3D shapefile using gvSIG Mobile and setting the Z somehow, sorry that's not possible so far.

hi,

I am new user to gvsig mobile.

i am trying to edit shape file using GPS coordinates.
but could not able to edit line and polygon file neither using GPS nor
manually, they are in edit mode.
everything works fine with point file.

i have attached the line shape file and 2 log generated by gvsig.
