[Gvsig_english] Explanation of calculating sinuosity

Hello,

In Sextante, there's a module called "Generate Alternative routes". In this
module there's an algorythm which calculate sinuosity.
Could you explain me what the algorythm is doing, please ?
Is there a way to adapt only the sinuosity code to a new module ?
