[Gvsig_english] Edit-tools in gvSIG: possibility to cut off overlap / substract elements from each other?

Dear list,

I have a question regarding gvSIG's editing tools: In my case, I would
like to cut off an overlapping area which is described by
two polygons A and B in one layer. I only found the tool "join", which
will do exactly the opposite from what I want to do. The dinosaur
ArcView 3.x
had this functionality: select polygon A, hold the shift-key, select
polygon B. Click on "Substract Features"...

I tried to use the Split-tool, but it did not work for me - in this case.
Is this feature already implemented in gvSIG (I _may be blind_)? Any
comment is appreciated very much!

Best,
Wolfgang
