[Gvsig_english] gvSIG Mobile not working on Trimble Juno PDAwithWindows Mobile 6.1

Hello, the version of phoneme that comes with that installer does not work with some devices, I think. You can try the J9 version as Carlos suggested or try this option:

The one you need is:

Windows Mobile 6 - phoneME Advanced - Personal Profile bXXX (zip)

Do not use the CAB installer from that website, just download the ZIP file and unzip it as the message says.

Maybe you need test the gvSIG Mobile J9 version.

Download it from http://forge.osor.eu/frs/download.php/1038/gvSIG_Mobile_Pilot-0.3-WMX-forJ9.cab

And install it to your device root path. 

 

Then try installing the JVM  J9 version.

 

In order to do that you can download an old version of J9 from here http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4JPW086S

 

Once you finally have J9 downloaded, and if your Windows Mobilke is 6.1, the file \J9\PPRO11\bin\j9jit23.dll

must be deleted before being copied to the device.

move the uncompressed J9 folder to the PDA root path. More or less it must looks like this:

 

...

\Windows

\J9\PPRO11\BIN\...

\My Documents\...

\gvSIGMobile\...

...

 

You can do that from PDA with cut & paste File Explorer function or with ActiveSync.

Try running again.

 

If you need run the GPS remember that must uncheck the External GPS option "manage GPS automatically".

Hi all

 

I've recently bought a trimble Juno PDA running on Windows Mobile 6.1. I've installed gvSIG_Mobile_Pilot-0.3-WM5-withPhoneME.cab as it is recommended for windows mobile 6. When i run the application, it shows the logo but then it disappears.

 

Do i have to install something else or am i doing this all wrong?
