about translation:

Valenty González and me are going to translate it into Spanish now and
hopefully we'll be on time for release

about contributions:

I would prefer to improve that document for example adding a section for
adding a WMS, or an editing session, not too much as it's a "quick"
start and can't be heavy.

If anyone is willing to colaborate on that I can help translating the
contents to reStructuredText and upload to the LiveDVD SVN repo, but the
contents have to be adapted to the LiveDVD, that is instead of loading
an external WMS is better to use a built-in WMS from any of the WMS
servers that the LiveDVD has.

Ok, let's stop chatting and start translating.. :-)
