Hi,
I managed to install gvSIG Mobile on Trimble Juno once, but I used J9 then. Hope that reading this thread will still give some help http://listserv.gva.es/pipermail/gvsig_internacional/2010-October/006099.html

Aihe: [Gvsig_english] FW: gvSIG Mobile 0.3 on Trimble GeoXT
Hello!
I know the thread has been inactive for a while but hoping we can have a another look at the problem I was having bak then and which I still ahve...
I tried following the instruction on the first link that Juan Lucas sent.
http://listserv.gva.es/pipermail/gvsig_internacional/2010-February/004907.html
Didn't manage to try out the J9 instructions since I don't even have a clue where I'm suppose to download J9...
The problem remains after installing gvSIG mobile 0.3 in this way. The logs continue showing the same error:
"WARN [GPSNmeaDataProcessor] - ERROR: parsing an integer field in an NMEA sentence"
I guess that NMEA sentences are not getting parsed properly even though they're coming through the internal com port of the GeoXT Trimble device. Might this be because of Trimble proprietary NMEA sentences..?
Any clues on what the problem could be...?
Getting gvSIG mobile to work would be quite important for the NGO where I work here in Brazil, would save us more then 6000$ (10000 reais) or more on proprietary licenses for Trimble software and avoid using proprietary formats to store data.
The NGO and I would thank you very much..!
Maxim

Hello Again!
Here go the logs files ;)!
I noticed that a message that is quite common in the logs files is this one:
"WARN [GPSNmeaDataProcessor] - ERROR: parsing an integer field in an NMEA sentence"
Makes sense that it is a parsing error since the GPS activity console showed NMEA sentences but nothing was happening.
I'll try what you recommend Juan Lucas and keep you posted.
Thanks for the help really appreciate it, feel like there is a light at the end of tunnel now :)!

But apart from that no signal seems to be captured, no satellites listed, no data whatsoever..

The device is not my own, it's property of a foundation I work with and just trying to present to managment the possiblity of using open source both as a desktop and mobile GIS solution.
