I don't know if I understood your message well.
 
If you have established a connection and click on the "edit" button from this dialog:

then you should see all the parameters except the password.
 
That does not happen?
Did it work using the same version of gvSIG on a different platform?
Can you send the most recent log file (typically /home/<user>/gvSIG/gvSIG.log  - possibly with a suffix) ?

Dear list,
we are testing gvSIG version 1.11 on the new Ubuntu-based LiMUX-client
tailored for the City of Munich.
After establishing a connection with an oracle spatial database, the
Connection Settings window refuses to show the actual connection parameters
and the fields remain blank, with the exception of the default jdbc-mySQL
driver setting (see attached screenshot). The actual connection works just
fine. It's not a crucial issue of course but maybe it can be easily fixed by
modifying some paths? Thank you very much.
