[Gvsig_english] Importing additional views by using templates

Dear Johannes

Thank you for the hint. Of course, it works that way. But it is not the most
elegant and efficient way.

The question is: You include in a template views showing an overview of an
area which have always to be implemented in a map layout later. This views
(with all the definitions) should be loaded automatically in case of the
import of the template.

I included the XML-tags of the gvp-file concerning the additional views into
the gvt-template file. But the import of the template fails. It seems that
the import of a template only handles graphic elements of the map layout and
no other informations.

Cheers,
Yvo

Dear Yvo,

with gvSIG it is possible to copy views between projects.
To copy a view right-click it in the project manager and select copy.
Close the project and open the target project to paste your view in its
project manager.
That's it.
Now you are able to create a nice map layout containing all your views. This
map layout can be stored as a template.

As gvSIG can handle many views in one project next time you create one just
"fill it up" with views.

Best,

Johannes
