The conference has been moved earlier this year, and it will be held from October 18th to 20th at School of Engineering in Geodesy, Cartography and Surveying (Universitat Polit?cnica de Val?ncia, Spain). Friday will be dedicated to a gvSIG developers meeting. Workshops will have independent registration, with limited capacity and having the possibility to get a certificate. Registration for workshops, that are free of charge, will be available at the website soon [2]. Workshops available are: - Workshop 1: Introducci?n a gvSIG - Workshop 2: Geoestad?stica con gvSIG - Workshop 3: gvSIG aplicado a criminolog?a - Workshop 4: Introducci?n al desarrollo en gvSIG con Scripting - Workshop 5: Hydro-geomorphological Modelling in gvSIG with the JGrasstools plugins (in English) - Workshop 6: gvSIG Online y gvSIG Mobile - Workshop 7: Desarrollo avanzado en gvSIG con scripting This year there won't be simultaneous interpretation (Spanish-English and English-Spanish), so presentations and workshops will be given in their original language. In the next days, all the information about workshops will be published at the gvSIG blog [3], with the cartography, and what you have to install in case you have to take your own computer to the workshop. In addition, registrations of the conference are free of cost too (limited capacity) and must be done through the application form on the Conference web page [4]. We recommend you to register as soon as possible because of the limited capacity. We expect your participation! I'm trying to exchange data between gvSIG and Geopaparazzi by the "cloud data" option. According to a tutorial I found on the web, I downloaded and installed the jgrasstools/geopaparazzi plugin in gvSIG desktop (2.3.1) , I've inserted the IP address and port of my server in the Geopaparazzi settings and the username and password to access. But now I'don't know how to proceed. Where should I save gvSIG projects to make them reachable? Moreover, if I try to transfer on the coluod a geopaparazzi project, the connection times out without any result. Any suggestion will be very appreciated. So we had to leave the plugin out and the version you have most probably doesn't contain the geopaparazzi server version inside gvSIG. I am planning to fix this during the international gvSIG conference code sprint in Valencia in October. After that I will do a new release of the gvSIG plugins. Sorry for the inconvenience. If you want to test this with supervision, you should come to the conference in Valencia :-) At the code sprint experienced users help less experienced to get started with the gvSIG applications.
