Hi Johannes.

Well, after discussing with my coleagues what's the meaning of umlaut (my
English is some how limited ;-), we think it depends.

We can consider this a bug if the layer supports special characters in its
field names. We think PostgreSQL will not allow this kind of field names,
and
dbf.... we are not sure about this, but anyway, it is not advisable.

In any case, thanks for playing with gvSIG.

Hi.
 
It seems there is a Null Value in height field. Line 182 from FLyrText:
 
                            NumericValue height = (NumericValue) 
ds.getFieldValue(i, idFieldHeightText);
 
May be we shoud catch this kind of exceptions in the future.
 
Until then, you can check your point data and make sure that the height 
text field has rigth values.
