Hi Domenico,
this is the first multi-lingua mail that I have ever received, very
compliment.
With respect to your question you can use geoprocessing difference
functionality:
- draw your new poligon intersecting the common part
- then use the clip function to create the desired feature
The documentation of the geoprocessing functions is more expressive
