[Gvsig_english] Question on digitizing: split, merge during digitizing possible?

Hi list,
I fear that currently there is no option for splitting lines, splitting 
polygons or merging polygons at the moment. Will this feature be implemented 
within the near future? I would say that it would be very useful..
