[Gvsig_english] Shp spatial index => outofmemory!

Looks like that there's a "bug" in shapefile spatial index creation...
for very large shapefiles (i have a shp of points with shp of 150mb
and dbf of 150 mb) code throws an outofmemoryerror on my pc (WinXP
with 2gb ram).
The qix file is not created, so i suppose that the index file is
stored in memory and written and the end of the process.
The code fails at 430000 feature of 490000.
Anyone has experienced the same problem for other larger datasets?
