Hi Silvio,
did not tried but could by problem with svg type. Inkscape defaultly uses something called "inkscape svg". Try saving as "plain svg". This could solve this problem.

PS: note for all here: 
when trying to access the Silvio's page with symbols, delete the dot at the end of the www address, otherwise you will get error message
