Hi.

First of all I'd like to express my compliments to all those who are
participating to this project as I think that it's gret to have such a
comprehensive open source tool for GIS purposes. We are thinking of
implementing the use of this software within our company but need to
fully assess it's capabilities in order to make a correct judgement.

I have several questions I need to ask hoping that someone of you will
find the time and patience to answer:

A) I find the formatting of legends and labels in gvSIG a bit more
complex than in ArcGIS. Any programs to enhance these features in the
future?
B) One thing that I ind useful is creating fields in the attribute table
of polygon shapefiles and autoatically populating the columns with
areas, coordinates, perimeters, etc. Is there some sort of calculator
for the attribute table? The area calculator button is useful but not
for this kind of operation.
C) ArcGIS is good a putting grids on maps and the formatting of these
grids is relatively simple and powerful. I have not found a way to stick
the coordiante labels in the grids.

Many thanks
