I'm currently exploring the use of gvSIG for Parish Councils (the most
local level of local government in the UK) - there are ~ 8000 in
England, they're very price sensitive, can now get Ordnance Survey data
from their County/District (higher level) Council for free - and have a
real need for GIS to support service delivery.

The software works, the data is there, but what is needed is a short,
simple, intro to GIS and using the software. The current manual is great
as a reference manual, but for those not pushing the technology, its too
detailed.

Does that exist anywhere?
